Lawn Installation Process
New lawn installment typically starts out the same for each type of lawn we install. We begin by adding irrigation, removing debris, and laying down edging. We then install top soil and compost.
The next step of installation for a seeded lawn is we spread the seed before raking it to ensure maximum coverage. With regular watering and minimal foot traffic, your new lawn will thrive and look great, adding curbside appeal to your home.
Installing sod is more of a process. After the initial lawn prep discussed previously, we then grade it to make a smooth base before laying down the sod. Some have described that laying sod is a lot like laying a hardwood floor. Though sod comes in rolls, we have to fit them snugly together, creating a seamless look. This is a time consuming process, so the initial installation takes longer than a seeded lawn does. Finally, your new sod lawn will need to be watered regularly for the first two weeks or so until it is established.

Grass seed and sod are the most common lawn types our customers choose from, but which is the best fit for you?
Grass seed - This is the most common lawn we install. An economic option, laying grass seed allows us to carefully select our seed choice that will grow best with your current soil conditions and other growing factors, such as access to sunlight or amount of foot traffic.
If your current yard needs a little extra help, we are also able to bring in new soil and cinder to maximize growth efforts.
Sod - In some cases we offer sod installation. Sod has a certain appeal for customers because the initial lawn care maintenance after installation is easy to keep up with. This style of lawn has a finer network of roots that disallows much of anything else to grow, keeping your lawn virtually weed-free. The downside of sod is that it's more susceptible to disease. The initial installation cost is also more expensive.
